DSF^2_™

DSF^2_™ processing provides information to correct, standardize and update your address records. DSF^2_™ is a United States Postal Service^® database which allows verification of a specific delivery point. It verifies the accuracy of the addresses on your database by matching it to the exact address. If the house number or PO Box does not match the DSF^2_™ file, it is not considered deliverable. DSF^2_™ is more accurate than other address verification processes such as ZIP+4^® that compare based on house number range because it relates to actual delivery points.

How DSF^2_™ Works

Your records are matched with the DSF^2_™ file to verify addresses or identify addresses that are non-existent, incorrect or incomplete. The results of this matching process will enable you to decide which addresses are reasonably certain of delivery and which you want to eliminate. It also can correct misspelled street names and add directionals and suffixes to the addresses.

Validates the incoming address as being correct (address match only)

The United States Postal Service^® supplies monthly updates of the DSF^2_™ masterfile. Your file will always be current with the latest DSF^2_™ database.

A DSF^2_™ case story:

The records of a catalog mailer were divided into five groups by using the Anchor Deliverability Index. The index of 1 to 5 indicates the progressively reduced degree of deliverability.
