LACSLink™ - Locatable Address Conversion System LACSLink™ enables you to update your mailing lists when addresses have been converted by local authorities (I.E. Renumbering of houses or addresses converted from rural style to city style addresses, usually as a result of a 9-1-1 conversion effort). It improves deliverability and enables you to identify potential duplicates between name and address records that have the original address and those that are already using the new converted address. A National Deliverability Index Report indicates the quality of your list. Processing lists against the LACSLink™ database has resulted in savings of up to 3% for many direct marketers. The maximum address hygiene benefits are realized when LACSLink™ processing is done in conjunction with NCOALink™ and DSF2™. Anchor offers all these services as a non-exclusive licensee of the United States Postal Service®. While many companies also offer these services not all are Licensees of the United States Postal Service®, and therefore outsource their processing.  At Anchor all of our processing is done in-house. Pricing of the products and services is not established, controlled, nor approved by the United States Postal Service®.

Overview

The United States Postal Service^® has created a database that provides for the conversion of rural route, PO Box and general delivery addresses to street addresses, as well as renaming of streets. This service is named Locatable Address Conversion System (LACS^Link_™). LACS^Link_™ processing has resulted in savings of 1% to 3% for many direct marketers, in addition to the cost saving benefits of NCOA^Link_™ and DSF^2_™ processing.

Benefits of LACS^Link_™ are:

LACS^Link_™ improves deliverability and enables you to identify potential duplicates between name and address records that have the original address and those that are already using the new designated LACS^Link_™ addresses. LACS^Link_™ enables you to verify and correct new street names that result from renaming or establishment of new subdivisions. The United States Postal Service^® will only deliver to the "old" style addresses for one year after a conversion.
